How does it work?
The doctor examines you, explains what they find and, if treatment is needed, writes your prescription. With it you go to the clinic's pharmacy, in the same building, buy your medicines and get a walk-through in Spanish of how much to take, how often, for how many days and whether with or without food.
Which prescriptions are sold here?
Only those written by the Clínica Hispana La Caridad doctor during your visit. The pharmacy does not sell medicines on prescriptions from other doctors or other clinics.
Always ask these four things
Leaving with the medication is no use if how to take it is unclear:
- What exactly is it for, and what should I notice?
- How many days do I take it, and what do I do if I miss a dose?
- Can I take it with what I already take?
- What effect means I should stop and come back?
Bring your list
Always bring a list of what you take, supplements and natural remedies included. Many interactions come from exactly there, from what patients do not think of as "medicine" and so do not mention.
About antibiotics
Finish the full course even if you feel better after two days, and do not keep leftovers for next time. An antibiotic left over from another occasion is almost never the right one for a new problem.
